Dermal Fillers
AN INSTANT WAY TO A FRESHER, YOUNGER LOOKING YOU!
As we age, collagen production decreases and the signs of aging become more pronounced.
The skins structure deteriorates at the level of the dermis: the deeper lying layer of the skin. When vital components of the dermis such as collagen fibres, elastin and hyaluronic acid becomes less abundant, the dermis is weakened thus causing a noticeable impact on the appearance of the skin.
Dermal filling is a popular and easy way of achieving a fresh look with little down time and at a reasonable expense when compared with cosmetic surgery.
Dermal fillers are products that are used to plump up lines and wrinkles and replace lost volume associated with aging. Treatment with these makes it possible to temporarily suspend or reverse the signs of aging.
The most common treatment areas are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of the mouth) and the lips.
Rejuvenate Medical Aesthetics use a variety of products chosen specifically for each individual patient. Products are chosen depending on patients needs and expected outcomes.
Rejuvenate Medical Aesthetics product of choice is Juvederm Ultra
This is a soft replenishing injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring sugar found in your body. It adds volume to minimise the appearance of wrinkles, thinning skin and lips. Hyaluronic acid injections have also been shown to stimulate collagen production. Best of all, the results are instant and natural looking, there’s no down time and has been demonstrated to be safe for all skin tones.
Juvederm is the only filler available with a smooth consistency gel. It provides a smooth natural look and feel. It is the first FDA approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler, which is approved to last up to one year.
The Juvederm Ultra range contains 0.3% lidocaine local anaesthetic for patient comfort during and after injection. However anaesthetic cream or local nerve block anaesthesia mainly for lip injections, can be used to ensure pain-free treatment.
TREATMENT
It is injected via a very fine needle, beneath the surface of the skin and the gel lifts and gently smoothes out facial wrinkles and restores a soft, more youthful shape.
Results are immediate and can last as long as 12 months. The durability of all fillers is variable and dependent on a lot of factors such as the structure of the skin, lifestyle and age. In general, all fillers will last at least 3 months and can have a lifespan of up to 18 months.
We carry out our treatments in a variety of prestigious salons within Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire and can also visit you in the comfort of your own home in the following areas: cambridgeshire, peterborough, huntingdon, hertfordshire and essex.
SIDE EFFECTS
Reactions are very uncommon. You will experience redness immediately after the procedure and some swelling as well. The swelling can last for a few days. You may also get bruising but these can be easily concealed with makeup.
ANAESTHESIA
Prior to treatment an anaesthetic cream can be applied to the treatment area, which will reduce pain and discomfort.
When treating the lips, a dental block procedure is used which makes the treatment area completely numb and therefore the subsequent procedure is pain free.
PRICES
Exact prices are given during consultation, but start from £250
